SHIRLEY – Lee Clarence Turner, 88, died March 29, 2010, at C.A. Dean Hospital, Greenville. He was born Oct. 30, 1921, in St. Albans, son of Forest and Nina (Boyington) Turner. Lee served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. After the war he worked for Maine State Forest Service for many years. He enjoyed outdoor sports such as hunting, trapping and fishing. He was a member of Shirley Community Church all of his life. Lee was the first open-heart bypass patient at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Perry) Turner of Shirley; four children, David Turner, Albert Turner and Danny Turner, all of Shirley, and Gail Downie of Sangerville; a sister, Eunice Greenlaw of Jackson; four grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Alissa and Joey; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews There are no public services planned at this time.
