MATTAWAMKEAG – Mildred Irene Gary, 68, wife of Blaine Gary, passed away March 31, 2010, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born April 2, 1941, in Lincoln, the daughter of Laurence and Bessie (Lancaster) Ireland. Mildred was an active member of Mattawamkeag Baptist Church. Her family was her whole life. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Blaine; five children, Terry of Sherman, Cindy Mead of Waterville, Jeffrey of Bradford, Sandra Patton of Pittsburgh and Scott of Springfield; four siblings, Paul Ireland of Skowhegan, Laurel Day of Bangor, Phillip Ireland of Ashford, Conn., and Narda Chase of Enfield; a very special niece, Susie; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three siblings, Little Laurence, Nettie Knights and Judith Ireland. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Mattawamkeag Baptist Church, with the Rev.
