CARMEL – Arnold Hollis Smith, 73, passed away peacefully April 1, 2010, surrounded by his family at his daughter’s home in Glenburn. He was a lifelong resident of Carmel, having been born there Nov. 1, 1936, the son of Hollis M. and Marion (Foss) Smith. He is survived by his children: daughter, Jeannie M. Gray and her husband, Glen, of Glenburn, and sons, Tracy A. Smith and Brian H. Smith, both of Bangor; one grandson, Owen; one sister, nieces, nephews and cousins. Arnold will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. At Arnold’s request, interment will be private at Highland Cemetery, Carmel.
