LUBEC – Rebecca Rier died Jan. 6, 2010, in Farmington, after a serious stroke. She passed from this world peacefully, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, directly after receiving her last rites. Our loss is God’s gain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lubec, with the Very Rev. Eugene Gaffey, celebrant. Becky will be buried beside her loving husband, Barney, at the Old Chapel family plot in Trescott. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Machias and Lubec.
