HERMON – Linda A. Swoboda, 62, died April 9, 2010, with her husband and children at her side, at her home. She was born Feb. 21, 1948, in Bangor, the daughter of Harry and Elinor (Overlock) Stevens. Linda loved going on cruises with her husband and the ocean. She also loved family gatherings, especially with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband of 28 years, Joseph “Bub” Swoboda of Hermon; two sons, Jimmy Mayhew of Carmel and Joseph W. Swoboda and his wife, Melanie, of Kentucky; two daughters, Janet Allen and Robin and her husband, Ronald Drake, all of Hermon; one brother, Clifton Stevens of Hermon; two sisters, Roberta York of Hermon and Joyce Stevens of Eddington; 12 grandchildren, Rachel, Brandie, Sherrilyn, Michael, Sarah, Linda, Briana, Natashia, Josie, Brendan, Ronald and Grammie’s “special angel,” Kassi; 10 great-grandchildren; special cousin, Marie Bryant of Carmel; and special friends, Brenda and Rick Overlock, Patti and Dennis Woodard and Lori Devlin and Gloria Curtis. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Harry Stevens; and her sister, Janet Stevens. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 12, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, with the Rev. Tammy Noyes, pastor of Carmel Full Gospel Church of Restoration, officiating. Interment will be afterward at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon.
