SHOKAN, N.Y. – Ruth May Fickus, 79, formerly of Bangor, died April 10, 2010, in Kingston, N.Y. She was born and raised in Bangor, a daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Alice A. Randall Lizzotte. Her first husband, George E. Perkins, died Feb. 23, 1991. Her second husband, Thomas P. Fickus, died May 22, 2000. Twelve brothers and sisters also predeceased her. Surviving are three daughters, Judy Greenleaf and her husband, Ben, of Searsport, Debbie Holt and her husband, Mike, of Dolton, Ga., and Brenda Page and her husband, Don, of Searsport; one son, George Perkins and his wife, Mary Jane, of Clarksville, Tenn.; three stepdaughters, Julie Brown and her husband, Gary, of Fredericksburg, Va., Patricia Rucki of Woodstock, N.Y., and Kimberly Fickus of Shokan, N.Y.; one stepson, Kenneth Fickus and his wife, Roberta, of Jefferson, N.Y.; one brother, Louis Lizzotte of Bangor; six grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted noon Tuesday at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, N.Y.
