CORINTH – H. Elizabeth W. Vigue, 82, wife of the late Clayton Vigue, died April 18, 2010, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Hampden, the daughter of Thurston and Helen (Chandler) Wiggin. Elizabeth graduated from East Corinth Academy and attended Gorham State Teachers College. She loved being on her farm with her horses and was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and Rebekah’s. Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Mark Vigue and his special friend, Laurie Caisse, of East Corinth and Jerry Vigue and his wife, Gloria, of Orrington; one daughter and her husband, Marcia and Michael Lancaster of Corinth; one brother and his wife, Richard Wiggin and Marlene of Bangor; her sister-in-law, Marion Hardy of Bangor; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, two brothers; and her grandson, Shane Lancaster. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Matthew Ward, pastor of Pentecostal Church, officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday. Interment will be afterward at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
