PORTLAND, Maine — Testifying at his sex trial, a former Maine music teacher denied inappropriately touching an 11-year-old girl during an amusement park ride.
James Raymond of Auburn is on trial in U.S. District Court in Portland, charged with taking two young sisters to a New Hampshire park with the intent of engaging in sexual activity.
On the stand Friday, Raymond denied inappropriately touching the older girl while on a water ride. Prosecutors, meanwhile, focused Raymond’s interest in young girls and his purchase of access to child pornography websites.
WCSH-TV reported that the trial is to resume Monday.
