MILFORD – Evelyn Edith Pelletier, 81, passed away April 24, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility, due to Alzheimer’s. She was born March 31, 1929, in Old Town, the daughter of Jerome C. Smith and Vivian Moors. Evelyn was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 1947. She married Paul D. Pelletier, the love of her life, April 20, 1949. They had three children. Evelyn worked at Old Town City Hall, many years at Penobscot Shoe Co., and retired from James River. She was a member of Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord-St. Ann’s Church, Bradley. Evelyn enjoyed dancing, knitting, crocheting, shopping, traveling and cooking. She especially enjoyed her dogs, Eb and Princess II. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Michaud. She is survived by her husband, Paul; three children, Timothy D. Pelletier and his wife, Daphene, of Milford, Victoria Pelletier Goodspeed and her husband, Robert, of Greenbush and Bryan P. Pelletier of Greenbush; three grandchildren, Eric Pelletier and his wife, Christina, Cassandra Goodspeed, and Stacy Goodspeed and her fiance, Keith Wickett; a stepgrandson, Steffan Ross and his wife, Amy; five great-grandchildren, Matthew and Hailee Pelletier, Nikohlas Hachey, Emma Wickett and Brooke Ross; a sister, Veniene Morse and her husband, Richard, of Chemo Pond; two stepbrothers, Hadley Pyle Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Florida and Ernest Pyle and his wife, Brenda, of Veazie; as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 30, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s Church, Main Street, Bradley.
