BANGOR – Elizabeth “Betty” Michaud, 79, passed away April 29, 2010, in Bangor. She was born Sept. 27, 1930, to John and Marie Elizabeth (Bishop) Bouchard. Mom was a member of Daughters of Isabella and the Governor’s Marching Band. She enjoyed knitting and often made socks, mittens and sweaters for the family, as well as for those who were less fortunate. She is survived by her six children, James Jr. and wife, Donna, Wayne and wife, Melissa, Pamela and husband, Gary Dorr, Dale, Mary and husband, Ivan Fernandez, and Kevin; 12 grandchildren, Jimbo, Matt, Shawna, Wayne, Jarod, Ryan, Jody, Kim, Robin, Adam, Gregory and Corey; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Marguerite and husband, Guy Easler, Patricia and husband, Walter Kane, Claudette Townsend, and Ramona and husband, Paul Gallant; a brother, Frank and wife, Diane Bouchard; a sister-in-law, Lena Bouchard; a brother-in-law, Michael Salvato; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Michaud; a granddaughter, Kristin Michaud; four sisters, Ester St. Heart, Pauletta VanHorn, June St. Clair and Genevieve Salvato; and three brothers, Leo, Joseph and Robert Bouchard. A very special thanks to all the staff of Westgate Manor for their tireless efforts, love and support. A joint graveside committal service for mom and dad will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, Catholic chaplain of St. Joseph Hospital, officiating. After the service, guests are invited to join the family for a reception at St. Ann’s Church, Bradley.
