WASHBURN – Michael James Tarr, 65, passed away April 22, 2010, in Saco. He was born Aug. 16, 1944, in Perham, son of the late Sterling L. and Doris A. (Gregg) Tarr. He attended Washburn High School and received his GED at Caribou High School. He farmed with his father and also worked as a construction foreman. He will be remembered for his love of nature, family and friends, as well as the ability to make people laugh. Michael is survived by his two sons, Andrew Tarr of Columbus, Ohio, and James Tarr of San Mateo, Calif.; one daughter, Sarah Tarr of Old Bridge, N.J.; one granddaughter, Zoe Tarr of Old Orchard Beach; his one brother, David Tarr and his wife, Nancy, of Washburn; longtime friends, Mavis Thibodeau of Caribou and Eddie and Edwina Mills of Washburn; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family are welcome to attend services 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Crouseville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Traumatic Brain Injury Foundation.
