MOUNT CHASE PLANTATION – Linda Ann Deprey, 63, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, in Mount Chase Plantation, after a long battle with cancer. Linda was born April 8, 1947, in Bangor, to Alphie and Pauline “Pearl” (Spaulding) Boucher. Linda was a graduate of Bangor High School and worked at Emple Knitting Mill for 23 years, where she was a shop steward. After Emple’s closed, Linda went to Beal College, Bangor, for a degree in hotel/motel management. Linda and Gilbert lived and raised their family for 27 years in Holden, then moved to Mount Chase Plantation, where Linda, Gil and Sharon, built a camp on Shin Pond which turned into their full-time home. Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gilbert Deprey; sister, Sharon Center of Hokes Bluff, Ala.; son, Rick John Deprey of Mount Chase Plantation and Tina Robin (Deprey) Holland of Hermon; grandchildren, Kailee Lynn Deprey of Holden, Tyler Robert Damon, Douglas Scott Holland Jr. and Danielle Lynn Holland of Hermon; and dear friend, Connie Thorn of Brewer. No services will be held per Linda’s request. Instead, she celebrated her life with her family and friends at their home and camp last July. Linda felt that there was nothing more important in her life than her family.
