ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla., and CUSHING – Gary W. Kenniston, 79, longtime Rockland resident, sports booster, patriot and friend to all, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, in Dade City, Fla., after courageous battle with cancer. Friends and relatives are invited to visit 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 14, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church, One Waldo Ave., with Douglas Anderson officiating. Interment with military honors will be afterward at Newcomb Cemetery, Patterson Mill Road, Warren. A reception will be after at Rockland Golf Club.
