BANGOR – Alberta M. Tenney, 72, passed away May 12, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility with her friend and rock beside her. She was born Feb. 21, 1938, the daughter of Joshua and Helen (Trussel) Alley. She is survived by the love of her life, her son, Albert “Punky” Hiram Tenney and his longtime girlfriend, Carol Ann Ross, known as her rock; a special great-niece, Hope Alley of Beals; a special niece, Sharon Alley of Beals; several nieces, great-niece, nephews; and many friends, such as Derrick S. Scott, who could always make her laugh and his brother, Joseph E. Duren, who said she could always put Mom Carol in her place, Donald and Cinthia Taylor and daughter, Jessica Taylor, Lloyd and Carolyn Taylor, Eddie, Gail, Popeye, Marie Bennet, Marie C., Tim M., Marvin and Diane, Jen and Jim, Pam B., Wanda P., BJ, Heather, and we can not forget Frankie, her huge Maine coon cat, who looks for her daily. A special thanks to the staff at Stillwater Health Care; Bangor Police Department, including Lt. Bab and Sheriff Glen Ross, for helping to accomplish things that will always be remembered and so greatly appreciated; her friends at Colonial Pines formerly Rainbow Trailer Park, especially Adam, who she loved to aggravate and did a good job at it; and Brookings-Smith, who were a tremendous help. She’ll be loved always and forever. Services will be held later in the early fall.
