BANGOR – Walden P. “Wally” Lawson passed May 14, 2010, with family by his side. He was born Jan. 5, 1924, son of Walden E. and Daphne (Nason) Lawson. He was a long haul trucker and at age 80, was featured on TV for being the oldest pizza driver. He is survived by a son, Robert and wife, Eleanor, of Missouri; brothers, Gregory and wife, Vivian, and Richard and companion, Frances; sisters, Christina Read and husband, Bernard, and Marguerite Travis and husband, William; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special cousin, Theresa. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two wives, an infant son; brothers, Emery and Russell; and sister, Eleanor Eldridge. The family thanks the staff of Westgate Manor and Community Health and Counseling Service Hospice for their care and compassion. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Memorial contributions in support of his family would be appreciated, care of Christina Read, P.O.
