PRESQUE ISLE – Alice May Dow Killam, 99, died May 21, 2010, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born April 15, 1911, in Perham, the daughter of Thomas E. and Tonny (Wilcox) Dow. Alice’s ability to remember and tell verses and stories enriched many people throughout her 99 years. She entertained many with her special gifts of love and just having a good laugh. Alice is survived by a sister-in-law, Eldora Dow; several nieces and nephews, including Sandra Sherman, Arlen Dow, Ronald Dow, Katrina Graves, Lorrie Hamlin, Dennis Dow, Caroline Aiken, Mary Green, Thomasine Peters, Alice Jean Nobles and Penny Hickey; and several great-nieces and great-nephews, Beverly, Marlene, Christopher, Heather, Heidi, Andria, Bobbi, Rebecca, Christine and Scott. She was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas Dow, Merle Dow and Dennis Dow; a sister, Hilda (Dow) Banks; two sisters-in-law, Emma Dow and Evelyn Dow; a brother-in-law, Wendell Banks; two husbands, Wallace Churchill and Clarence Killam; and longtime companion, Stanley Craig. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Palmyra. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
