BANGOR – James C. Shaboski, 82, husband of Dorothy (Shea) Shaboski, died May 22, 2010, with his family at his side at his home. He was born in 1927, in Bangor, the son of Joseph and Pauline (Ostafichuk) Shaboski. Jim was a 1945 graduate of Bangor High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. After his service he worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1988. He loved bird hunting, gardening, wood working and entertaining family and friends. He was a man of faith, a friend to all and a great family man to his siblings, wife and children. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Bangor; children, Gary of Texas, Stephen of Bangor and Dianne of Florida; two sisters, Amelia Shaboski and Sophie Wood; and two brothers, Stanley and Frank, all of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor. A time of fellowship will be held afterward.
