EAGLE LAKE – Ronald J. Paradis, 66, beloved husband of Dolores (Dube) Paradis, passed away May 22, 2010, at his home. He was born March 2, 1944, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Romeo J. Paradis and Verna (Bouchard) Paradis. Ronald enlisted in the Air Force after high school. He served in the Vietnam War and received several awards for his valor during that time. He moved to Connecticut after his honorable discharge from the Air Force and spent the rest of his working career as a union carpenter for Local Union 24. He enjoyed summer vacations in Eagle Lake where he fished with his parents and enjoyed boating with his wife. He will always be known for his shiny cars and trucks. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Dolores of Eagle Lake. He had a special bond with his nephew and godson, Craig Dube of West Enfield; two other special nephews, Wesley and Michael Dube of West Enfield; many other nieces and nephews; and childhood friends, Clayton Laferriere and Lucien Pelletier. He was predeceased by his parents, Romeo J. and Verna (Bouchard) Paradis; and nephew, John Graham. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 a.m. until time of departure for Eagle Lake Friday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Burial in the parish cemetery will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 364 Main St., Apt. 103, Madawaska, ME 04756. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
