SCARBOROUGH and FORT FAIRFIELD – Delores “Doll” Adams Flannery, 73, of Scarborough, died May 29, 2010, after a three-year battle with cancer. Doll was born Nov. 27, 1936, in Caswell, daughter of the late Dan Adams and Hazel (O’Neal) Adams. A devoted wife and beloved mother of six boys, she is survived by her loving husband, H. Roger Flannery Sr.; her sons, Thomas E. Flannery II, G. Daniel Flannery, H. Roger Flannery II, Kerry C. Flannery, Timothy A. Flannery and Todd L. Flannery; a brother, Willis Adams of Fort Fairfield; a sister, Betty Howe of Belfast; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a prayer warrior who loved the Lord; her beloved husband, Roger; and her sons and their families. Quilting was the passion of her life. The lives of many were blessed by Doll’s love of family and her spirit of giving to others. Her quick laughter and comforting spirit will be missed. Friends may call 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. with the Rev. J.D. Simmons officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A reception in Doll’s memory will be held immediately after the interment service at Boondock’s Grill, Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
