CARIBOU – Patricia “Patty” LaVoie, 82, died May 29, 2010, in Caribou. She was born June 16, 1927, in Caribou, daughter of the late Patrick and Beatrice (Albair) Soucy. Mrs. LaVoie attended Caribou schools and she married Eddie LaVoie, May 31, 1950. She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to her husband of 60 years, Eddie of Caribou, are her daughter and son-in-law, Marie and John Green of Bristol, Conn.; two brothers, Roy Soucy of Bristol, Conn., and Albert Soucy of Hope Valley, R.I.; one sister, Vella Panella of Southington, Conn.; two grandchildren, Kimberley Ploszaj Pelletier and Justin Ploszaj, both of Bristol, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Jean Sutherland of Caribou; a brother-in-law, Wilfred LaVoie of Bristol, Conn.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. LaVoie was predeceased by a brother, Walter. The family extends a special thanks to the kind and compassionate staff of Caribou Nursing and Rehabilitation for the fine care given to Patty. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, June 11, at Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou. Interment will be at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
