BANGOR – Geraldine Agnes (Weston) Toole, 85, beloved wife and mother, passed away June 4, 2010, surrounded by her family while at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 22, 1925, in Hermon, daughter of the late George and Agnes (Glidden) Weston. Gerry grew up in Bangor and was a graduate of Bangor High School. During her youth she was baptized, received confirmation and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor. After high school, Gerry helped in the war efforts of World War II by working at Bath Iron Works. She married her husband of 63 years, Robert, Feb. 18, 1947, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Gerry’s focus in life was always on her family. She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, and a member of St. John’s Council of Catholic Women. During her life she was active in St. John’s Catholic School and the lives of her five children. She enjoyed gardening when time allowed, but the best times were always family times. Gerry is survived by her husband; three daughters, Cheryl E. Stetson and her husband, Robert, of Bangor, Regina F. McCormick and her husband, Michael, of New York City, and Mary C. Toole, esquire, and her husband, Steve Ward, of Peaks Island; two sons, Robert E. Toole Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Glenburn, and John A. Toole and his wife, Marie, of Manchester, N.H.; one brother, William; four sisters, Maejean, Elizabeth, Theresa and Judy; six grandchildren, Mary-Lou Hains, Angela Reynolds, Kathleen and Tristan Toole, Daniel and Katharine Hall; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Because most of Gerry’s life sacraments were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor. Interment will be afterward at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Messages of condolence and memories may be shared through www.hampdengilpatrick.com. <>
