VAN BUREN – Madeline A. Hobart, 93, died June 9, 2010, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born Jan. 24, 1917, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Simon and Minnie (Corey) Hobart. She owned and operated Hobart’s Dress Shop along with her mother and sister for many years. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Maurice Hobart and Fred Hobart; and five sisters, Amelia Corey, Adele Solman, Mary Hobart, Rachel Levy and Bertile “Bertha” Hobart. Relatives and friends may call noon until the time of service Saturday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, where a funeral service will begin 2 p.m. with Father David Cote officiating.
