DEXTER – Geraldine “Ellie” Nash, 73, passed away peacefully the evening of June 12, 2010, in the presence of her family at her home, after a five-year-long battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 22, 1937, in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, a daughter of Dorothy Guy. Ellie traveled extensively with her husband and moved back to Maine in 1991 after he died. She enjoyed gardening and crafts. She will be sadly missed, but always lovingly remembered by her partner of 15 years, Chandler Tibbetts; his children, Tod and Tammy Tibbetts, Joe and Carla Tibbetts, all of Dexter, and Regina and Jeff Hardy of Ludlow; six grandchildren, Billie Jo Hardy and fiance, John Moore, of Dover-Foxcroft, Kevin Bassett and fiancee, Jen Hansen, of Etna, Heather and husband, Scott Dobson, of Gray, Alissa Tibbetts of Corinna, Parker and Cole Tibbetts of Dexter; four great-grandchildren, Darci, Owen, Matthew and Dylan; and her loving dog, Sage. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her first husband, Warren Williams; her second husband, John Nash Jr.; and her son, Peter Williams. Much appreciation is expressed to her many family members and close friends who brought so much joy to her face; and also to those who were at her side during her final days. Graveside committal services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with Pastor A. Maurice Neal officiating.
