MONTICELLO and Florida – Gail Cynthia Britton Ivey Wallace, 72, passed away June 12, 2010, with the loving care of hospice and her family in Crystal River, Fla. She was born May 4, 1938, in Monticello, the daughter of Warren and Clara (Hersey) Britton. Gail is survived by her children, Deborah Ivey Silkey and her fianc?, Ronald Sewell, of Houlton, Randall Ivey and Brenda Doland of Crystal River, Fla., and Lisa Ivey Somes and her husband, Wayne, of Hancock; stepchildren, Kelly and Kirk Carpenter of Homosassa, Fla., and Brian and Janet Wallace of Oldsmar, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jason Ivey of Hancock, Tara Silkey of Bangor, Denver Carpenter of Homosassa, Fla., and Katie Wallace of Oldsmar, Fla.; her brothers, David Britton and his wife, Wanda, and Robert Britton and his wife, Judy, all of Houlton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased her parents; her husband, Larry Wallace; her brother, Merle and his wife, Rosie; and two sisters, Margaret Duffy and Roberta Moran. Friends may call noon until the time of service 1 p.m. Sunday at Dunn Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Straubel officiating. Interment will be at Littleton Cemetery.
