OLD TOWN – Joseph A. Vitalone, 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior in heaven June 14, 2010, from complications of a stroke at a Bangor hospital. Joseph was supported by McKay Shared Living Services, Milford, and had many friends within the agency. He lived a fun and fulfilling life that included baseball games, gardening, fishing, camping, dining out and yard sales. Joseph especially enjoyed good conversation over a cup of coffee. He is survived by his loving mother, Wilma Vitalone; a half brother, Richard of Shamong, N.J.; a half sister, Patricia O’Brien of Syracuse, N.Y.; aunts, Marie Weinburger of Texas and Beatrice Sheehan of Georgia; as well as many cousins. He will be deeply missed by Alice and Kevin McKay, Melissa Reinzo, R.N., Karen Pitts, Courtney Madden-Harnum, Candi and Ed Hackett, and Patty Durkee. Joseph was predeceased by his father, Joseph Alden Vitalone Sr., in 1989. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
