BANGOR – I, Mary Ellen O’Connell, 54, passed away June 16, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility. I was born May 17, 1956, in Queens, N.Y., daughter of the late John and Ann Ruth (Long) O’Connell. I graduated high school in 1974, and began my journey across country settling in California. I received my degree in physical therapy in 1988. My work became my passion – helping people reach their goals. I am survived by my two daughters, Kelsey and Bridget O’Connell of Bangor; four siblings, John, Jerry, Margaret and Joan; many nieces and nephews. I will also miss my dear friends, Mark J., Woody and Jolie, Bruce M., Terri from California and many others. I leave now with the hope of love and happiness as I greet my father, mother and sister, Bettiann. My celebration of life will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at my house, 39 Vernon St., Bangor.
