UNITY, LEWISTON and LAKELAND, Fla. – Carol Blood Chabot, 65, passed away unexpectedly June 16, 2010, at a Lakeland, Fla., hospital. Born Jan. 11, 1945, in Unity, she was the only daughter of Milo and Mary (Flagg) Blood. She grew up in Unity graduating from Unity High School and the University of Maine, Orono, with a major in English. A longtime resident of Lewiston, she had lived in Lakeland, Fla., for the past two years. She was employed by Geiger Co., Lewiston, for many years and was retired from employment by the state of Maine. Carol deeply loved her daughter and her grandsons and cherished her time with them. She was well known for her wit and positive attitude and her love of singing and dancing. She enjoyed participating in entertainment at Hickory Park in Florida and was a lifelong Celtics fan. Carol will be greatly missed by her daughter, Susan Allen Bilodeau and husband, Richard Bilodeau, and her two grandsons, Chris Lambert and Brendan McClellan, all of Lewiston. She is also survived by her three brothers, Clayton Blood and his wife, Barbara, of Searsport, Leroy Blood of Winslow, and Stanley Blood and wife, Edna, of Belfast; by sister-in-law, Ruth Blood of Skowhegan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors in Maine and Florida. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Andy Chabot of Lewiston; her brother, Maurice Blood; and sister-in-law, Margaret Blood. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
