LITTLETON – Luther M. Grass, 80, died June 19, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 5, 1929, in Littleton, the son of John A. and Lona (Delong) Grass. Luther graduated from Ricker Classical Institute, Class of 1947, and then went to Higgins College for three years. He served in the Army Air Force for three years, was a firefighter and spent most of his life working as a long haul truck driver. Luther is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen (Plourde) Grass of Littleton; his son, James Grass and his companion, Jill, of Nashua, N.H.; his daughter, Judy O’Dell and her husband, Mike, of Herndon, Va.; two grandchildren, James O’Dell of Virginia and Eric Grass of Arkansas; three brothers, John Grass Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou, of Monticello, Norman Grass and Paula Smith of Littleton and Robert Grass and his wife, Bobbie, of California; two sisters, Joanne Digman and her husband, Roy, of Pennsylvania and Pearl London and her husband, Bob, of Hodgdon; many nieces and nephews. A private interment will take place at a later date. Gifts may be made in Luther’s memory to Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum, care of Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton.
