CARIBOU – Geraldine “Gerri” Michaud, 60, died June 27, 2010, in Mars Hill, after a brief illness. She was born May 9, 1950, in New Haven, Conn., daughter of the late James and Helen (Marra) Marlow. Mrs. Michaud was employed as a quality assurance inspector at Unilever Corp., Clinton, Conn., for more than 30 years. She married James Michaud Dec. 24, 1985, and they lived in East Haven, Conn., for many years before returning to Caribou a short time ago. Surviving, in addition to her husband, James of Caribou, are her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Emily and Dave Johnston, Doug and Elaine Michaud, Paul and Nancy Michaud, all of Caribou, Mary Albert of Connor Township, Edwena Michaud, Christine and Don Pelkey, all of Fort Fairfield, Nina and Norman Smith of Presque Isle, Jeanne and Mike Downend of Woodland and Earleen York of Marion, Va.; her special friends, Denise, Rita, Betty, Sandy and Bill; as well as a special cousin, Bobby, all of Connecticut; many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Gerri’s life will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, in the chapel of Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Interment will be at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Michaud may do so through Jefferson Cary Foundation Cancer Clinic at Cary Medical Center.
