FRENCHVILLE and FORT KENT – Clarita “Teri” Pittenger, 70, died peacefully June 28, 2010, surrounded by her family at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Frenchville. She was born July 4, 1939, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Francis and Agnes (May) Byrne. Clarita’s favorite pastimes were cooking and gardening. She was a member Red Hat Ladies Club. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Pittenger of Fort Kent; her son, Karl S. Pittenger and his wife, Kathy, of Surgeonville, N.J.; her daughter, Sara and her husband, Donald Michaud, of Fort Kent; six grandchildren, Timothy, Jacob, Shawn, Jonathen, Connor and Tucker; stepgranddaughter, Melissa; one adopted brother, Huey Byrne of Mineral Point, Wis. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Robert A. Smyth Jr. officiating.
