OLD TOWN – Joyce A. Chaffee, 62, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1947, in New London, Conn., daughter of Shirley E. Heck, who resides in Union, Conn., and the late Frank Stachelsky. Joyce was a 1965 graduate of Stafford High School in Connecticut. She married Brian Stephen Chaffee Sr., June 3, 1967, who predeceased her. Together they raised three beautiful children. She is survived by Brian S. Chaffee Jr. and his wife, Angel, of Bangor, Pamela E. Dillingham and her husband, Robert, of Oxford and Barbara I. Farrington and her husband, Elwood Jr., of Hudson; two beautiful granddaughters, Alyssa M. Farrington and Brianna E. Farrington of Hudson; two brothers, David Heck of Union, Conn., and Albert Stachelsky of San Francisco; a sister, Elaine Tetrault of Atlanta; many other family and friends who loved her very much. We will remember you always for your love of family, friends, animals, your beautiful craftsmanship in all the crafts you loved to do and your fabulous cooking. We love you. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Hudson Cemetery, Route 43, Old Town Road, Hudson – near the post office. A time of fellowship and celebration of her life will be held immediately afterward. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may made contributions to the Animal Orphanage, Old Town.
