FRENCHVILLE – Irma Dumais, 85, died peacefully July 5, 2010, after a brief illness at St. Joseph Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Frenchville, daughter of Patrick and Agnes Dionne. Irma was a member of Dame de St. Anne, Catholic Order of Foresters and Cyr Plourde Unit No. 145. She is survived by two sons, Raymond and wife, Ginnette, of Hooksett, N.H., and Robert “Bob” Dumais and wife, Dinah, of San Antonio; three daughters, Claudette and Percy Thibeault, Claire and husband, Gary Thibeault, of Frenchville and Diane Fongemie of Westbrook; 13 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three great-stepgrandchildren; four sisters, Lucille and husband, Clovis Daigle, of Frenchville, Noella Marquis of Palm Desert, Calif., Muriel and husband, Charles Thibodeau, of Hudson, N.H., and Marilyn and husband, Carl Blanchette, of Manchester, N.H.; brother, Gideon and wife, Madeline Dionne, of Bangor; sister-in-law, Viola Dionne of Santa Ana, Calif.; nieces and nephews. Irma was predeceased by her husband, Bertrand; her parents; and brother, Gerard. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday at Michaud Funeral Home, Frenchville. Service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Frenchville, with Father Paul Dumais officiating. Burial will be at St. Luce Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Forest Hill, St. Joseph Nursing Home or Edgar Paradis Cancer Funds. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
