GREENVILLE – Sara L. “Sally” Morrell, 82, died July 6, 2010, at C.A. Dean Hospital, Greenville. She was born May 6, 1928, in Pittsburgh, daughter of Arthur and Harriett (McConnell) Harvey. Sally graduated from Schaeler High School, Pittsburgh, and Becker Junior College, Worcester, Mass., where she met her future husband, Cortland A. Morrell. In 1964, they moved to Greenville where they owned and operated Morrell Lumber Co. for many years. They spent many happy times on their boat on Moosehead Lake and at their camp on Lily Bay. She was a former member of the board of directors of C.A. Dean Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Cortland; and an infant daughter, Harriett. She was the beloved mother of a son, John Morrell and his wife, Candace, of Greenville, and her daughter, Susan Delmonico and her husband, Frank, of Wakefield, R.I.; loving grandmother to three grandchildren, Matthew Morrell, Courtney Delmonico and Cameron Delmonico; loving sister of Janet Fitch and her husband, Neil, of Green Valley, Ariz.; and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Greenville Chapel of Crosby & Neal, located at the Masonic Building, Greenville. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service.
