HAMPDEN – Charlene Edith (Estey) Faulkner, 75, wife of the late Robert G. Faulkner, passed away July 8, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. Charlene was born July 28, 1934, in Bangor, to William H. Estey III and Helen (Whitcomb) Estey. Charlene will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker, who enjoyed cooking and entertaining others. She enjoyed playing the organ, reading and gardening. Charlene will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Charlene is survived by her daughter, Pamela F. Brown of Hampden; siblings, Betty McAlpine of Monroe, Marise Dunton of Carmel and William H. Estey IV and his wife, Sharon, of Hampden; grandchildren, Gregory Robert Brown and his wife, Tawny Alvarez, of Scranton, Pa., and Jennifer Elaine Brown of Portland; as well as one aunt, Eleanor Whitcomb; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may visit 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 12.
