ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla., and OLD TOWN – Betty E. Jameson, 79, wife of the late James W. Jameson, died peacefully July 10, 2010, with family by her side at a Bangor health care facility. She was born June 25, 1931, in Millinocket, daughter of Burdette and Emma (Randall) Miller. Betty enjoyed summers at the family camp on Ambejesus Lake, Millinocket, and spending winters in Florida. She enjoyed knitting and quilting, and loved music and enjoyed attending Concerts in the Park during the summer in Old Town. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by six children, Donna Rousseau of Kittery, Jim Jameson and his wife, Marylou, of Litchfield, Tim Jameson and his wife, Sharon, of Alfred, Jeff Jameson and his wife, Lori, of Millinocket, Tracey Nelson of Old Town and her companion, Martin Ferwerda, of Orrington and Tom Jameson and wife, Lauri, of Millinocket; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Miller of Farmington, Mass., and Dorrence Miller of Umatilla, Fla.; three sisters, Elsie Boutin of East Millinocket, Mildred Hicks of North Pekin, Ill., and Marilyn Basque of Millinocket; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 2002; five sisters, Hazel Trueworthy, Ruth Husky, Edna Davis, Edith Fugate and Minnie St. Germaine; and two brothers, Howard Miller and Burdette “Sonny” Miller. The family thanks Westgate Manor for their compassionate care given to Betty.
