ORRINGTON – Noreen M. Levesque, 87, wife of the late Norman E. Levesque, died July 13, 2010, at a Bangor health care center. She was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Caswell, daughter of Edmond F. and Louise M. (Gerard) LaPointe. Noreen was a longtime resident of Orrington and one of the first child care providers in the area beginning 35 years ago, a job that she did with much love and dedication. The many children and families she cared for stayed in touch with her throughout the years. Noreen was a communicant of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Brewer, where she was active in many areas of church life and was a member of St. Teresa’s Sodality. She was active with Orrington Housing Authority and Ladies Auxiliary of Maurice Miles Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4527, Orrington. Surviving are five children, Timothy Levesque and his wife, Helen, of Bucksport, Suzanne Travis and her husband, John, of Orrington, Lisa Cafiero and her husband, Gerry, of Florida, Peter Levesque and his fiancee, Theresa, of Hampden and John Levesque and his wife, Stephanie, of Old Hickory, Tenn.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Edmond Levesque his wife, Darcy, and his daughter, Macey, of Utah, Troy Levesque and his wife, Lisa, and their children, Andrew and Madison, all of Milford, N.H., Becky Grant and her husband, Doug, and Emily Travis, all of Orrington, Anthony and Alexandra Cafiero of Hollywood, Fla., Ryan Levesque of Orono and Ethan and Paris Levesque of Old Hickory, Tenn.; one brother, Walter LaPointe of Surry; numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by cherished friends, Carol Veits of Orrington, Sarah and Jason Courtney of California, Gina Veits of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Tom Crews of Bangor. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 62 years; and two brothers, Percy John LaPointe and Ovide Willette. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Teresa Catholic Church, Brewer. Burial will be at Dean Hill Cemetery, Orrington.
