TRESCOTT – Ruth A. Farmer, 85, died unexpectedly July 13, 2010, at her home. She was born March 11, 1925, in Trescott, daughter of the late Seth and Hazel (Card) Jones. She was a longtime member of Three Angels Seventh-day Adventist Church, Whiting. She had a great love for people and enjoyed spending time with family. She was predeceased by her husband, Almon; two sons, Alton and David; two stillborn daughters; a brother, Floyd; and a grandson, Mike Beam. She is survived by two daughters, Marie and husband, Robert Wasson, of Cutler and Diane and husband, Stanley Reynolds, of Jonesboro; three sons, Bernie and wife, Rose, of Lubec, Greg and wife, Kim, of Machias and Eugene of Kentucky; two sisters, Marjorie Wood and Winona Thompson, both of Machiasport; three brothers, Clarence, Lewis and Wayne, all of Trescott; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1 p.m. until the time of funeral services 2.p.m Friday, July 16, at Three Angels Seventh-day Adventist Church, Route 1, Whiting, with Pastor Darrel Muehlhauser officiating. Burial will be after at Jones Cemetery, Trescott. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Machias and Lubec.
