BANGOR – Peter N. DeCarlo, 58, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at his home. He was born Nov. 27, 1952, in Houlton, son of Blaze and Eleanor (Belyea) DeCarlo. Peter grew up in Presque Isle and was a 1971 graduate of Presque Isle High School. He was a member of Presque Isle Elks Lodge No. 1954. Peter enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, camping, playing guitar and cheering for the Red Sox and Patriots. He will always be remembered for his amazing work ethic, his ability to make people laugh and all the lives he touched. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Marsha (Fields) DeCarlo; sons, Blaze Decarlo and his wife, Cricket, of Levant and Mark DeCarlo and his wife, Ingrid, of Carmel; daughter, Leslie DeCarlo and her significant other, Mark Hewitt, of Levant; stepdaughter, Nicola McNally and her significant other, Kary, of Mapleton; brother, Jamie Burns and his wife, Lyn, of Presque Isle; sister, Sandra Drake and her husband, Bob, of Ohio; grandchildren, Brittney, Briana, Chelsea, Austin, Taylor, Morgan, Jillian and Adin; nieces, Tracy, Tara, Cassandra and Sierra; nephew, Conner; mother-in-law, Laurina Fields; sisters-in-law, Tania Fields, Karla Heyward and Debbie Bandelow; brother-in-law, Brian Fields; and lifelong friend, David Hill. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to share in conversation and refreshments after the service at the Brookings-Smith Family Reception Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
