ROCKLAND – Marion (Vinal) Johnson Cousens, 90, died Tuesday, July 8, 2010, surrounded by her family at Penobscot Bay Medical Center. Born July 8, 1920, in Rockland, she was the daughter of Fred and Edith Young Vinal. She was a 1938 graduate of Rockland High School. Marion was employed locally with Dr. Chisholm, as a real estate broker for Cousens Realty, and finished her career at Maine National Bank. She was predeceased by two husbands, Arthur I. Johnson and James S. Cousens. She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Nancy C. and Frank Braun of Warren; a son and his wife, Richard V.J. and Rhonda Cousens of Bowdoinham; a stepson and his wife, James B. and Shirley Cousens of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, Eric Cousens of Auburn, Andrea Fancher of Mineral, Va., Lauren Hall of Owls Head, Kristi Braun, Alison Braun, both of Warren, Colby Cousens of Waltham, Mass., Kimberly Ketterman of Orlando, Fla., James B. Cousens Jr. of East Providence, R.I., Eric Cousens of South Dartmouth, Mass., John Cousens of Atlanta and Darin Cousens of Catoosa, Okla.; several great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland. A reception will be after at 104 Limerock St., adjacent to the funeral home. Interment will be at Achorn Cemetery with the Rev. Anne Roundy officiating.
