DRESHER, Pa. – Arnold H. Raphaelson died Thursday, July 22, 2010. He was professor emeritus in economics at Temple University. From 1958 to 1964, he taught courses in business and economics at the University of Maine, Orono. He participated in studies relating to state and regional economic development. One study was on the vacation industry in Maine, a project funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, that resulted in a book with T.A. Seidlik and J.D. Coupe, that was published by the University of Maine Press. He also wrote other papers related to the taxes and economy of New England. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Ruth (Camann) Raphaelson; devoted father of Marc of Upperville, Va., Jonathan of Worcester, Mass., and Joshua of Santa Monica, Calif.; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, at Perlman Funeral Home, Worcester, Mass.
