BANGOR – Virginia C. Shaw, 85, died July 25, 2010, at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 4, 1924, in Limestone, daughter of Samuel and Blanche (Copper) Shaw. She is survived by two sisters, Marilyn McCourt of Bangor and Ruth MacIlroy of Carmel; one brother, Bernard and his wife, Norma Shaw, of Augusta; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor. Burial will be at Episcopal Cemetery, Limestone. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Virginia’s name to Sunnyside Senior Center, attention Rebecca Mushkin, 43-31 39th St., Sunnyside, NY 11104.
