MILLINOCKET – Annabelle Marie (Cormier) Mowbray, wife of the late Leroy Mowbray, went to be with her Lord Thursday, July 29, 2010, at a local health care facility. Annabelle was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Millinocket, the daughter of Onesime, a local dairy farmer and milkman, and Annie (Cyr) Cormier. She attended schools in Millinocket. Annabelle and her twin sister, Isabelle, lived for many years in Virginia before moving back to Millinocket in 1981. It was while living in Virginia that Annabelle met Leroy and they made Virginia their home. Annabelle leaves her beloved sister, Cecile Hartt; a brother, Percy Cormier and his wife, Pat; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Annabelle was predeceased by her twin sister, Isabelle Cormier; three other sisters, Yvette Lebel, Irene Ingalls and Pauline Smart; and brothers, Camille, Wilfred, Ludgie and Edrick Cormier. The family says a special thank you to the staff at Millinocket Regional Hospital for the wonderful care that Annabelle received. Visitation for the family will be 2-4 p.m. Friday, July 30, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at St. Martin of Tours of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider.
