FREEPORT – Thelma Estabrook Sommers, 83, of Porter’s Landing, died Thursday, July 29, 2010, in Portland, with her family at her side. She was born June 22, 1927, in Calais, the daughter of the late Alvin T. Estabrook and Leonora M. Quinn Estabrook. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Sommers Sr. She is survived by her son, Robert E. Sommers Jr. and his wife, Diana, of Jefferson; her grandchildren, Samantha Sommers and her husband, Scott Peach, Megan and Carle Facciolo; and her great-granddaughter, Isabel Thelma Facciolo. She is survived by her brother, Harold Estabrook and sister-in-law, Sylvia; her sister, Barbara Wilson; and her sister-in-law, Louise Estabrook. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Noreen, Steve, Patrick, Gary, Sharon, Susan, Carolyn, Tiffany, Kenny and Kathy; as well as a large extended family and many friends. She retired from LL Bean in 1990 after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brunswick, Freeport Historical Society, past president of Philathea Class of Freeport Baptist Church, and a former member of Pythian Sisters. Visiting hours will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at First Freewill Baptist Church, Church Road, Brunswick, with the Rev. Dr. Philip Gage officiating.
