FERRISBURGH, Vt. – Thelma MacDonald, 79, died peacefully Aug. 3, 2010, at her home in Vergennes, Vt. She owned and operated a residential care facility for more than 30 years in Westfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald MacDonald; and a son, John Larry Potts. She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Helen Walker of El Paso, Texas; her children, Ron Potts of Middlebury, Vt., Sandra Backstrom of Kansas City, Mo., Vanessa Langenback of Levittown, Pa., Teresa Eddings of San Antonio, Texas, and Karen MacDonald of Vergennes, Vt.; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Brown-McClay Funeral Home, Vergennes, Vt. A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Kent Cemetery, Panton, Vt.
