ROCKLAND and SEARSPORT – Adam E. Maddocks Sr., 29, died unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, in Rockland. He was born Aug. 18, 1980, son of Herbert F. Maddocks and Susann H. (Wellman) Dakin. Adam loved life and cherished his time spent with his family. He was an avid sports fan, supporting the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Adam had many passions in his life; he enjoyed Ultimate Fighting Championship, video games, music, fishing, his truck, four-wheeling and he loved to eat. He also loved his job at Farley’s Landscaping, where he worked for many years. Adam is survived by his wife, Jessica Maddocks of Warren; one daughter, Mariah S. Maddocks of Stockton Springs; one son, Adam E. Maddocks Jr. of Belfast; one stepson, Dominick Hallett of Warren; his mother, Susann H. Dakin of Belfast; his father, Herbert F. “Bert” Maddocks and wife, Rhonda, of Stockton Springs; one brother, Steven A. Kenney of Searsport; maternal grandparents, Myra and Jerry Stevens of Searsport; one niece, Lynsey Kenney of Searsport; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many dear friends. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport, with Pastor Art Cotton officiating. Immediately after the service a reception will be held at Stockton Springs Community House, Church Street, Stockton Springs.
