BUCKSPORT – Larry R. Carney, 32, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at his home. The son of Deborah (French) and Merton Hanscom Sr. and Stewart Carney Sr., he was born Nov. 24, 1977, in Blue Hill. Larry graduated from Bucksport High School. Most of the time, you could find Larry working. He worked at Alexia’s Pizza as the manager, where he was employed for 10 years. He enjoyed his job and the people he worked with, and he will be missed by his special friend and boss, Ted Rakis. In addition to his parents, Larry is survived by his brothers, Stewart and Shayna, and Jason and Jen; sisters, Michelle and Jimmy, and Erica and Joey; stepbrothers, Ralph, Mert Jr., Wayne Sr., Adrian and Adam; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; one special niece, Yolanda; and two special nephews, Heydun and Landun. Family and friends will gather for visitation 11 a.m. until the time of service 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Peter Remick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Larry’s family in care of Deborah Hanscom, P.O. Box 1741, Bucksport, ME 04416.
