HERMON and SOUTH ADDISON – Charlotte Mildred (Reynolds) Ross, 83, died Aug. 22, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1927, in South Addison, the daughter of Frank William and Ethel (Cox) Reynolds. Charlotte attended local schools and graduated from Addison High School, Class of 1944. She then graduated from Husson College in 1948, where she was a member of Epsilon Tau Epsilon sorority. On July 3, 1957, she married the love of her life, Albion N. Ross, and they shared 39 years of marriage. Charlotte worked for Dr. Eugene Brown for 15 years. She and Albion operated A. N. Ross Garage and Auto Parts, retiring in 1975. There are many special memories at camp on Hermon Pond. Charlotte loved to cook and tend her flowers. She was a member of Penobscot Snowmobile Club and Eastern Harbor Grange. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Ross Carver and husband, Dana, of South Addison; two dear granddaughters, Rebecca April Carver and friend, Tom Horton, of Machias and Rachelle Autumn Carver and friend, Gavin Endre, of South Addison; a brother, Douglas W. Reynolds and wife, Charlene, of South Addison; a niece, Michelle Libby and Brent Libby, and their children, Brandon, Nicholas and Nicholas’ daughter, Lexi, Benjamin, Nathanial and Chelsi; a nephew, Michael Reynolds and his daughters, Jessica, Jody and Cassaundra; special friends, Leta Hileman, Rita Duplisea and Bev and Herman Hallett; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albion N. Ross, in 1996. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. Interment will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Batson District Cemetery, South Addison. A reception will be afterward at the annex of Union Church, South Addison.
