MILO and PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Ruth M. Dunton, 82, wife of the late Bernard Dunton, passed away Aug. 14, 2010, at Hospice of Palm Beach County, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. She was born March 14, 1928, in Derby, the daughter of James Linscott and Mary Elizabeth (O’Neil) Morrison. Ruth graduated from Milo High School in 1945. She worked for Pratt & Whitney for 28 years, and lived in Florida since 1985. She is survived by a son, Michael L. Dunton of Deltona, Fla.; a daughter, Maxine A. Scroggin of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; three beloved grandchildren, Christopher Dunton, Kaitlyn Dunton and John C. Scroggin III; a sister, Adeline Richards of Bradford; great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with the Rev. Michelle St. Cyr officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407 or to a local hospice of one’s choice.
