NEWBURGH – John and Belle Evans celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 24, 2010, with a family dinner with their children and theirs spouses and grandchildren at the Lucerne Inn. John and Belle were married July 23, 1960, in East Levant. John was an ironworker for 30 years, and Belle was a homemaker. They enjoy spending time with their family and watching their grandchildren’s sports events. Their hobby together is babysitting their newest granddaughter, Hannah Belle. John and Belle have three children, John Evans and wife, Beth, of New Sharon, Kelly Toothaker and husband, Craig, of Newburgh and Jill Harper and husband, Tom, of Newburgh; and six grandchildren, Rebecca Toothaker, Matthew Toothaker, Andrew Toothaker, John-David Evans, Justin Evans and Hannah Belle Harper.
