MILBRIDGE – Robert “Bobby” Phinney, 59, died unexpectedly Aug. 30, 2010, while at work at Inland Seafood. He was born Oct. 17, 1950, in Milbridge, the son of Robert Hall and Sarah B. Phinney. Bobby spent most of his life working as a lobsterman and for the last 12 years at Inland Seafood. He enjoyed playing the slots at Foxwoods and Hollywood Slots. Bobby especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, including the “light of his life,” his grandson, Brennon L. Chipman. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shelly (Beal) Phinney; one daughter, Bobbie-Jo Phinney and her companion, Chris Hersom; a grandson, Brennon L. Chipman; a special friend, that was thought of as a son, Adam Call, all of Milbridge; two brothers, Billy and Alfred Phinney; three sisters, Etta Beal, Eva Haycock and Mary Wallace, all of Milbridge; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Hailee Jean Chipman; one sister, Nancy Butler; and two brothers, Buddy and Gilbert Phinney. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge, where a funeral service will be celebrated 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2.
